  • About the Role:

    We are looking for a behavior therapist to help children with diverse needs (mainly autism) learn new skills relevant to their quality of life. The behavior therapist's responsibilities include assisting clients in skill development through applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy strategies and implementing treatment goals as instructed by their supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
    -Work with children with varying disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, under the supervision of a BCBA.
    -Teach clients language, social/leisure, adaptive/self help skills utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies.
    -Maintain all necessary client documentation, including data and session notes.
    -Maintain professional communication with families/parents about their child’s sessions and goals.
    -Ongoing collaboration with clinical team, including communicating with supervising BCBAs about treatment progress and following/implementing changes to programs.
    -Develop a welcoming and fun learning environment that maintains client dignity and confidentiality in all that you do.
    -Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:
    To be successful as a behavior therapist, you should enjoy working with child. You should demonstrate compassion, patience, and understanding when treating our clients. An outstanding behavior therapist should be able to effectively interact with clients to establish trust and accurately assess client needs moment to moment.

    In addition, the following are required:
    -High school diploma or GED (Bachelors degree in psychology, education, or related field strongly preferred).
    -18+ years old.
    -Previous experience working with children.
    -Experience with ABA preferred (not required)
    -Sound collaborative skills.-Great communication skills.
    -Compassionate and patient.-Valid CA Driver’s license & auto insurance.
    -Ability to provide evidence of negative TB test results.
    -Ability to pass FBI & DOJ Live Scan background check.
    -Reliable source of transportation.

    We are looking to employ a part time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead treatment and therapy programs for our clients. The BCBA’s responsibilities include conducting and writing assessments, supervising and leading behavior therapist/RBTs in quality therapeutic interventions grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA), and collaborating with families and teams. Our BCBAs are strong leaders that embrace a hands-on approach to therapy.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    -Conduct assessments and reassessments, utilizing VB MAPP, Vineland, ABBLs, etc.
    -Develop behavior intervention plans and update them as required.
    -Train and supervise behavior therapists/RBTs across all aspects of ABA therapy and programs for clients.
    -Create treatment materials.
    -Lead ongoing trainings for our staff.
    -Supervise RBTs per BACB guidelines, as assigned.
    -Work with children with varying disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
    -Maintain all necessary client and staff documentation, including data, session notes, supervision hours, etc.
    -Maintain professional communication with families/parents/colleagues about their child’s therapy.
    -Ongoing collaboration with clinical team, including communicating with behavior therapists/RBTs/supervisors about treatment progress and following/implementing changes to programs.
    -Develop a welcoming and fun learning environment that maintains client dignity and confidentiality in all that you do.
    -Travel within Tustin, Irvine, and Lake Forest, CA areas.
    -Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    To be successful as a BCBA, you should demonstrate compassion, patience, and understanding when treating our clients. An outstanding BCBA should be able to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members to establish trust and accurately assess client needs moment to moment.

    In addition, the following are required:

    -An active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
    -An active NPI number.
    -Masters (or higher) degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
    -Experience implementing ABA therapy across a diverse population.
    -Experience utilizing assessment tools, such as Vineland, VB MAPP, ABBLs, etc.
    -Proficient use of Microsoft Suite and Google Suite programs.
    -Strong leader with sound collaborative and communication skills.
    -Compassionate and patient.
    -Thorough, detail oriented, and solution focused.
    -Valid CA Driver’s license & auto insurance.
    -Ability to provide evidence of negative TB test results.
    -Ability to pass FBI & DOJ Live Scan background check.
    -Reliable source of transportation.

    For this position we’re offering a competitive wage of $30-50 per hour depending on experience.
