Dr. Tan is a licensed pediatric neuropsychologist who specializes in the assessment of neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. His expertise includes autism spectrum disorder and common co-morbid medical conditions, including epilepsy, congenital heart disease, and genetic disorders. In addition to his private practice, he is a pediatric neuropsychologist and clinical supervisor at Children’s Hospital of Orange County and director of the CHOC Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Program. An expert in the field, Dr. Tan is an internationally recognized speaker, has co-authored over 50 scientific presentations and journal articles, and has held over 30 different positions of leadership across various organizations, including the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology, National Academy of Neuropsychology, Asian Neuropsychological Association, and the Cultural Neuropsychology Council. He has won multiple national awards, including the Tony Wong Diversity Award in 2021 in recognition of his efforts to promote public education, advocacy, and research in brain health in culturally diverse and minority communities.
